Give yourself the gift a daily routine.
Things get hard enough on us, don’t make it any harder.
Here a few ideas to help get you started.
Wake up the same time everyday. I know this may seem easy enough but most of us don’t. This can only be done if you start the night before. You must also try to go to bed at the same time. Getting enough sleep is what’s really important. Your body needs to rest and rest well. Get the electronic out of the bedroom. Set up a nightly routine so you can unwind before bed. That way you can rise in the morning feeling energize and ready to move throughout the day with your best.
Have your morning planned out. Make it a routine.
Here is mine:
5 am Wake up (this will be later in the winter months usually 7 )
Stretch while laying in bed,
Stretch sitting on the edge of the bed
Stretch when the feet touch the floor.
A big swoop of gratitude and a little prayer that my hands connect my head to my heart.
I throw on an outfit that I can sweat in.
Go to the bathroom and do my business there.
Then head to my make shift home gym. Where I move my body for 20 minutes.
I tell myself that I deserve this and it’s just for 20 minutes. It has elevated over time, I started hanging onto the sides on the lowest speed and have moved up to a jog. This is only for me I do what feels right for me. I started out with just 5 minutes.
After this I stretch some more.
Prep my coffee. I use a French press and let it brew.
Shower – enjoy it.
Get dressed for the day. This has now consisted of me dressing up as if I am on my way to the office in the city. Even though my office is now in my home. I even wear heals. This is for me. I feel so much better when I do this.
I then take my coffee and head to the office.
This is what works for me.
