How do I meditate?

Great question, I believe there are many different ways. Basically to my understanding it’s really just reconnecting to yourself. However that is for you.

We give our attention to so many other things in life and then we wonder why we feel so left out. Well it’s because we haven’t given ourselves any time. Meditation is giving attention and some time to yourself. For me I do it when I’m out walking in among nature. Early in the morning with a cup of coffee. When I sit down to write in my journal. Or honestly just sitting and doing “nothing”. It may look like nothing and the younger version of myself would even argue that fact. However, I rather enjoy doing nothing. It’s not always easy but I am making an effort. Go easy on yourself, be kind. Just notice. I think meditation is the attention that the younger, much smaller version of you needed way back when. That child needed something back then and has been trying to get your attention since. They wanted someone to notice them, so see them, to protect them. Whatever it is. Now is the time to do just that.
